Day 60—31 December 2011 Oskee Wow Wow, Illinois! The reward for the Fighting Illini’s mediocre football season is the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. My dear husband is showing his support by wearing this rather spirited shirt, which he borrowed from NOS. It was a high school graduation gift from my sister and her husband (also alums). Go Illini; beat the Bruins!

To me, bubble wrap is a gift in itself. This bubble wrap “protected” a silicone baking pan I received from NOS, who had the good sense (perhaps prompted by his dad) to include the bubble wrap as a bonus gift. Jingle Bells</b>
For more years than I care to remember, Tom has been using a Scooby Doo stocking he got from LVDW (also known as “The Weiner Lady” and “Movie [W]itch”) at an APO holiday grab bag—an occasion that, sadly, has gone by the wayside in recent years. Scooby Doo’s voice box blocks the opening, rendering it essentially unusable. Yesterday, during a break from mounds of vacation laundry, I went to Target on possibly the worst day ever to <i>need</i> dishwasher detergent. But, look what I found—a kitschy, higher-capacity jingle bell stocking for Tom.
