Day 126—6 March 2012 Windy city My phone camera (and my lack of time to attend to settings) doesn’t portray this moment accurately. Truthfully, all three of our neighbors’ wind decorations were spinning vigorously when I was out for my walk this afternoon. The temperature was a delightful 61, despite a wind so strong that I worried about losing my baseball cap. Welcome, spring! Won’t you stay for a while?

Amazing feats of balance</b>
From the “if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry” department: I’ve noticed lately that, more often than not, my ibuprofen balances on its side when I put it down. I’m not aware of anything I’m doing to make this happen. Besides being ever-so-mildly amusing, it’s pretty inconvenient—sometimes it rolls off the counter. It’s good to have people!</b>
Long before Penny worked at The Cheesecake Factory in “The Big Bang Theory,” we’ve been <i>big</i> fans of CF in Lincolnshire IL. We’ve made friends with JJ—one of the managers—and a good number of the hosts and servers. When any of them see us, we get warm greetings, whether or not we’re seated in their section. Believe it or not, as much as I love to be adored, I’m not a big fan of garnering attention in public (e.g. being sung to). JJ and Igor (our terrific server du jour) helped me celebrate my birthday on a more private scale. Thanks, guys!
