Exhaustion and/or apathy
I hid out today—doing the bare necessities, catching up on some TV, and catnapping (not by choice—I just couldn’t sleep last night). This is the ever-exciting view of the Batcave ceiling. Tomorrow’s another day. . . .

DH wasn’t the only busy bee this weekend. Once the leaf sweeper came through, practically every intersection throughout the neighborhood was more than 50% blocked by leaf mountains. Oy! While (essentially) lifelong friend Judy’s birthday was yesterday; tonight we were among Don and Steve’s guests at a lovely dinner party to celebrate. Don made delicious recipes from Suzette’s (Judy’s mom) cookbook. Start to finish, the food and company were delightful. Good things come in small packages.</b>
One of my favorite new recipes this year is Mexican slow-cooked pork carnitas. After wasting leftover peppers several times, DH discovered this miniscule can, which turns out to hold the exact number of peppers we need for the recipe.
