Day 30—1 December 2011 Made for walkin’ I’ve had a tough time getting back into my walking routine since I was out of commission all summer. I’ve walked a day or two here and there, but nothing solid. Tuesday, I was frustrated enough to get my sorry rear on the treadmill. Now, it’s been three days that I haven’t looked at my Facebook feed until I’ve geared up and started moving. Notice the Road ID on my right shoe. My sister, Sarah, led me to them around our 40th birthdays. I’ve been paying it forward ever since. http://www.roadid.com

NTS wanted to play gin rummy tonight after dinner (homework was done before dinner). So, we got comfy on the Batcave couch and played a few hands while “watching” a movie. Why did he leave mid-game? He also convinced DH to get some bowling practice in! You may remember that I’m not generally friends with Monday. But, if they were all like this, I’d be the Monday Fan Club president! Well, that’s new!</b>
Friday is usually my favorite day of the week, when I generally take it a little easier, and concentrate on things I want to do. Today, however, I was putting out fires all day. In an attempt to ease my horrible mood, I engaged in a little nail polish therapy tonight. One of my sample treats at Sephora was this “Jack Black Hand Healer.” Say what?! [I just did a little research: There's a whole line of Jack Black personal care products for men. No indication that it's "that" Jack Black. It’s a good thing he’s cute!</b>
From the “all’s well that ends well” department, I present to you my keys—distinguishable by the mini drumsticks. Yesterday, Tom somehow ended up with his <i>and</i> my keys at work. Once I had exhausted all the possible places I could have left them, I called him to see if he had them. Another unhappy discovery yesterday morning: the valet key that came with my new previously-loved vehicle almost a year ago doesn’t fit this car. After four additional calls, I reached one of my volunteer helpers (whom I had not previously met), who was able to come pick me up.
