Day 44—15 December 2011 Simple pleasures I have a couple circle pendants that I so adore, I wear them (together) practically every day. One—a 40th birthday gift from Amy—says “balance.” The other—a gift last year from Tom—reads “love you mostest” (a long-time inside joke). Pinterest came through for me again, when I found a tutorial on making washer pendants, which I adapted to key rings for myself and a couple others. (I can’t show you the others because they haven’t been gifted yet). I can hardly wait to make more gifts! Thanks to Sharon, who was my super shopping partner for the charms (see Day 41's entry).

This is the life.</b>
NTS wanted to play gin rummy tonight after dinner (homework was done before dinner). So, we got comfy on the Batcave couch and played a few hands while “watching” a movie. Why did he leave mid-game? He also convinced DH to get some bowling practice in! You may remember that I’m not generally friends with Monday. But, if they were all like this, I’d be the Monday Fan Club president! Well, that’s new!</b>
Friday is usually my favorite day of the week, when I generally take it a little easier, and concentrate on things I want to do. Today, however, I was putting out fires all day. In an attempt to ease my horrible mood, I engaged in a little nail polish therapy tonight. One of my sample treats at Sephora was this “Jack Black Hand Healer.” Say what?! [I just did a little research: There's a whole line of Jack Black personal care products for men. No indication that it's "that" Jack Black. It’s a good thing he’s cute!</b>
From the “all’s well that ends well” department, I present to you my keys—distinguishable by the mini drumsticks. Yesterday, Tom somehow ended up with his <i>and</i> my keys at work. Once I had exhausted all the possible places I could have left them, I called him to see if he had them. Another unhappy discovery yesterday morning: the valet key that came with my new previously-loved vehicle almost a year ago doesn’t fit this car. After four additional calls, I reached one of my volunteer helpers (whom I had not previously met), who was able to come pick me up.
