Day 294—21 August 2012 Work in progress I got a ton done again today; but, I’m not feeling as frantic. One of my accomplishments was these mini pineapple upside-down cakes (shown in progress; see the finished products here: http://www.joybluephotography.com/Project365/P365-Outtakes/22891769_TFwWV6#!i=2039853211&k=jX6CQPp). We all tested one after dinner; but the bulk of them go to NOS and his roommate. DH has already requested a batch to take to work soon.

I love fu!</b>
I have a long, and sometimes ambivalent, relationship with fu dogs. Granny the Great has a pair of ceramic fu dogs that were long ago made into lamps. Apparently, when I was very young, I was afraid of them. I think you might be too, if they were staring at you when you were trying to sleep. But, I’ve been a little in love with them for as long as I can remember. Someday, they’ll be guarding our house. This one was a wonderful discovery on my walk through Citizen’s Park today with Dawn [yes, its mate is across the path]. Yesterday was the first day of school for NTS. At tonight’s first home game of the season, he had the honor of singing the Anthem, in addition to his regular duty on the drumline.
