Over the River and Through the Wood
Point State Park, Pittsburgh—22 September 2014
This fountain (right) is across the Allegheny River from last week's entry (left), at the point where the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meet to become the Ohio River.
I chose this week's title from "The New-England Boy's Song about Thanksgiving Day" by Lydia Child. On the September day of shooting, three friends celebrated birthdays. On this November day of posting, I celebrate what would have been Granny the Great's 89th birthday. Tomorrow, the Doles and Brauers will celebrate Thanksgiving together. As always, I'm thankful for so many of you who enrich my life, daily or occasionally, and for experiences like this road trip, which make life interesting and fun.
